We are inviting interpreters and translators to join our Queer Language Service, a specialised service supporting LGBTQIA+ individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse (CALD) backgrounds. This service is designed to provide safe, discrimination-free communication for queer individuals, including asylum seekers and refugees, who often face discrimination or harmful treatment from traditional interpreting services.
Our panel of language professionals includes LGBTQIA+ community members and dedicated allies who understand the unique challenges faced by queer individuals. We are looking for interpreters and translators across all languages, with a preference for NAATI-certified professionals (though certification is not required). Your expertise will help us provide affirming, respectful communication that ensures our clients are never misgendered, outed, or disrespected.
